Peter van der Does promoted to Engineering Manager

I am pleased to share that Peter van der Does has accepted the role of Engineering Manager at ONeil Interactive and will assume these new responsibilities effective immediately. In his previous role as Lead Homefiniti Developer, Peter has ensured Homefiniti operates at peak performance – deploying dozens of new features and hundreds of optimizations while supporting monthly traffic in the millions.

As Engineering Manager, Peter is responsible for Homefiniti and the team of software developers that build it. This team of three is growing, and Peter is actively interviewing to select only the best.

Peter joined the team a little more than three years ago and it’s hard to imagine Homefiniti being where it is today without his contributions. One of his earliest projects, the Homefiniti website caching system, remains a critical part of delivering incredibly fast website experiences for our clients and their prospects. Homefiniti’s content quality scores, XML eligibility alerts, weekly stats emails, and so many other features our users love were all engineered by Peter. Behind the scenes, Peter has created dozens of systems and monitoring tools to increase the reliability of Homefiniti and streamline all sorts of development operations.

Peter lives in a Ellicott City, a Baltimore suburb, with his wife, two daughters, and three dogs. Peter is originally from the Netherlands. He is an active promoter of Stroopwafels and introduced me to the somewhat confusing breakfast choice of hagelslag. 🤔

Please join me in congratulating Peter!
