If you’ve ever been asked to provide your community’s latitude and longitude coordinates, then you may have asked yourself “My what?!” In short, this is a your location expressed in decimal degrees as used by the most common Geographic Information Systems. Still confused? These magic numbers get the little Google map pin to show up in the right place and not somewhere in Bangladesh.
So now that we know what they are, how do we find them? ONeil Interactive has introduced a new and EASY way to retrieve your latitude and longitude coordinates, even if your community doesn’t have a valid street address yet. While this tool is available for anyone to use, we’ll be integrating it directly into the content management system for Builder WebPress customers. Now that’s what we call streamlined!
Here’s how you do it:
1. Go to http://oneilinteractive.com/ll/
2. Enter a street address or nearest crossroads closest to your community location
3. Click on your location
4. Copy and Paste the coordinates
