How to Make Email Extra Awesome

So I’m taking this opportunity to share the success of a recent ONeil Interactive project. It’s a projects I’m especially proud of our team for creating, and the team over a Litmus, a great tool for email testing, seems to agree.

ONeil Interactive was selected by FutureCare Health & Management Corporation to build an email system to send “Happy Birthday” and “Happy FutureCare Anniversary” emails to their employees. FutureCare has twice been named Best Workplace in Baltimore, so they take employee relationships seriously. These emails needed to look great.

Because these emails are sent to employees’ personal email addresses, it was important that we make the experience of opening the email a positive one for as many possible devices and email clients (software types). We know that everyone has experienced the frustration or confusion of receiving an email with “images off” and seeing nothing but empty white boxes. That was not an acceptable experience here, so ONeil Interactive set out to solve this problem in a unique way. The “images-off” experience is just as great as the “images-on” experience (see below).

The team over at Litmus shared our excitement about the project, and we’re honored that they shared it as part of their “Inspiration Series” blog posts for email marketers. You can read about the project in much greater detail here.
