Welcome to 2021, feels like the dumpster fire ornament from 2020 might still be applicable to 2021. But not over here in my housing/digital marketing bubble. I like it over here. It’s full of record breaking numbers, growth, optimism and endless opportunities. It’s also conspicuously absent of any major attention grabbing headlines. This week brings us updates to two digital marketing channels and some of that optimism I just mentioned. Happy little clouds like Bob Ross taught us to paint.
Facebook isn’t just banning presidents, it’s also been busy adding features to page management tools. It’s introducing 5 new page features. First and foremost is a dedicated page newsfeed so your personal feed is no longer intermingled with your pages feed. This allows you to interact and engage on Facebook as your page in a much cleaner way. For those looking to up their Facebook Organic game, this tool will be quite useful. There are four other improvements as well.
MICROSOFT
There are also a slew of new tools available on the Microsoft Ads platform. They’ve improved their Google Import tool, upped their AI game to bring you quality recommendations for your bids, budgets, ads, extensions and more. They’ve also shared a sneak peek into upcoming changes. Microsoft is really stepping up to try and compete with Google and make their platform more user friendly for advertisers.
HOUSING
Finally, that optimism I mentioned earlier about the housing market. Fox Business interviewed the National Association of Realtor’s chief economist to get his take on what the 2021 housing market holds. Good news, he’s also been to the Bob Ross school of painting and sees happy little clouds ahead for 2021. After seeing Kevin Oakley from DYC’s post on LinkedIn, I checked our own stats and if web traffic is any indication of what 2021 holds, buckle up folks, because it looks like we’ll be speeding past 2020’s records in no time! Check out our own graph showcasing what January 2021 already looks like.
Make sure you check out the new Facebook and Microsoft features and tell us what you’ve been seeing in terms of traffic and interest during the first 8 days of the year. It’s a new year, with new goals and fresh perspectives. I love the wind down at the conclusion of one year so that I can come into the new year with a fresh perspective, rested, relaxed, and ready to tackle the coming year. I’m looking forward to the continued boom in housing and to helping our clients achieve their goals.
