Facebook is Your Bridge to Mobile Users

Half of home shoppers are using mobile devices, but how do you make sure they find you on the small screen?

Many people still feel like social media – Facebook included – isn’t necessary for marketing success. While that question can be debated, it doesn’t hurt to be found online outside of your website. Facebook gives you that opportunity and also provides serious mobile value.

According to Business Insider, in 2014 Facebook accounted for 19% of aggregate mobile traffic, YouTube was close behind with 18%, and the third largest share belonged to “general web traffic” through web browsers, at 11%.

According to our Marketing Pulse Survey, 63% of the traffic Facebook sent to home builder websites came from mobile devices. 80% of that traffic was new visits.

What’s exciting is the fact that people who find your website while searching for a new home, might even like your Facebook page (assuming you have one) which means you have the opportunity to draw mobile traffic from desktop “likes” just by having a presence on Facebook.
