Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going – 2019

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through 2019! It’s been a mighty year of travel for team ONeil and in addition to racking up frequent flier miles, we’ve been afforded the opportunity to mingle and collaborate with some of the best in the building industry. We wanted to share where we have traveled these past six months and where to look for us the rest of the year.

Where We’ve Been…

FEBRUARY

Jeff Shore Sales Leadership Roundtable in Sacramento, CA
Adam got the opportunity to attend this enthusiastic Roundtable in California. He learned how to be more efficient with his time as a sales manager, identify top priorities, and so much more. Speaking of time management, Adam even snuck in a visit to Habitat for Humanity Greater Sacramento!

NAHB Board Meetings in Las Vegas, NV
Between the NSMC Board of Trustees, Convention Education Subcommittee, Young Professionals, Membership, and BUILD-PAC meetings and events… Dennis and Adam kept busy supporting the industry!

International Builders Show in Las Vegas, NV

Even though it was our 10th time going, it’s never a bore. Adam, Dennis, and Megan were thrilled to take the stage and share out expertise in retargeting ads and the dos and don’ts of marketing. Want to relive IBS2019, all the best stuff is in this post.

MBIA’s Builder Mart in Timonium, MD

Megan and co-presenter Cindy Plackmeyer from Wormald Homes gave a reboot of their IBS Tech BYtes Session “Stop Following Me! How Retargeting Ads and Behavioral Marketing Can Impact Your Brand.” at this year’s Builder Mart Trade Show. Special thanks to Molly and Stacey for your crowd support!

APRIL

Client Visits in Austin, TX
Dennis, Jenna and Megan took on Hill Country to kick-off a new website project and visit some local TX clients.

Atlantic Builders Conference in Atlantic City, NJ

Adam got to see the newest products, innovative services, and educational programs at the largest regional building industry in the Northeast. Oh, and there was a massive indoor pool party too!

F8 Facebook Developers Conference in in San Jose, CA

MAY

Jeff Shore Sales Leadership Roundtable in Nashville, TN
The Roundtable in-person meetings are always a great opportunity to learn and grow, but this last meeting of the annual quarterly series Adam was able to bond on a whole other level with his group. You’ll participate in this group to further your career, but you’ll leave having grown as a person also.

Professional Builders Forty Under 40 Reception in San Francisco, CA

Our own Business Development Manager, Adam Van Bavel was a recipient of this prestigious award. He is definitely most deserving of this recognition and an unstoppable rising star in the building industry.

Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) in San Francisco, CA

Adam, Megan, and Dennis made the trip to PCBC this year and our own Dennis O’Neil took the stage for his session “More Signal, Less Noise: Building a Practice to Evaluate Your Marketing,” where builders and marketers learned how to critically evaluate marketing opportunities within the context of their business goals. Dennis’s co-presenter, Will Duderstadt of M/I Homes, was awesome enough to summarize the topic the presentation in this guest blog post.

JUNE

Search Marketing Expo (SMX) Advanced in Seattle, WA
Stacey gathered with other SEO and Paid Search warriors from around the country to soak in advanced knowledge and learn what’s next for organic search rankings and PPC. The good news? All of the highlights are available in Stacey’s SMX Advanced 2009 wrap-up post.

NAHB Board Meetings in Washington DC / Adam, Dennis
The Spring board meetings were held at the historic Marriott Wardman Park. Dennis spent his time meeting with other National Sales & Marketing Council board members, while Adam helped design the future of NAHB with fellow Young Professionals Committee board members. #NAHBYP
